Every time you throw something in the trash, you are throwing away something that cost either your money or time; such as paper towels, plastic bags, spoiled produce, etc. And not only that, unless you burn your trash, you are also paying to get rid of your trash. For me, it seems like a much better option to switch to using as many reusable items as possible and now there are so many excellent options to choose from.
A few days ago, I was looking for reusable products on Amazon and found quite a few interesting products I would like to try. I’ll share them with you below along with a few I already have and love using in my kitchen.
Silicone baking mats are amazing! They come in all sizes and make any baking pan nonstick, so no more scrubbing stuck food off your baking pans. I use mine all the time for everything from cookies to baked chicken or vegetables.
If you use paper towels frequently, these might be a good option for you. Personally, I don’t go through paper towels very fast because I only use them occasionally, so I’m not sure they would be economical for me.
These are perfect for anyone who uses straws frequently. They come in many different colors and are either made out of stainless steel or silicone. I use the stainless steel straws for my boys to keep them from chewing on their straws.
Coffee filters aren’t very expensive, but if you would rather not buy them and throw them away after each use, this would be a great option.
These would be perfect for anyone who uses disposable crock pot liners or doesn’t like cleaning all the stuck food out of their crock pot every time.
These come in many shapes, sizes, and colors and are easy to fill with applesauce, yogurt, or anything else messy. Makes eating more fun and less messy for kids!
These are perfect for when you only need to store the extra part of a vegetable or fruit.
Brew any tea you want and never have to throw the tea bags away again!
Keep your produce fresh longer with these bags and when they get dirty just wash and use them again.
My popsicle molds get used a lot in the summer! Usually, I freeze fruit juice or smoothies for delicious, inexpensive treats.
For those of you with a Keurig coffee maker, these refillable K-Cups could save you money and you can use the coffee you prefer!
Silicone baking cups work really well and I especially like that they don’t tear and are reusable. I love the fact that I can use them over and over and never have to buy anymore!
Save money by using cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. They are easy to wash and look nicer too!
